aboutme
I'm Emily Salsbury,
an illustrator + naturalist + communicator from Southern Wisconsin, based in the Willamette Valley region of Oregon.
I earned my BFA in Illustration from Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design in May of 2019, with a minor in Natural Science. Since then I've worked as an Educator at Aldo Leopold Nature Center in Monona, WI and I've done work for several freelance clients. In 2020 I moved out to Western Oregon where I am building my portfolio with all of the natural wonder this part of the country has to offer.
Currently, I serve as the Graphic Design Specialist for the City of Newberg, OR. This position and the work I do to engage the public in government processes has given me a wealth of knowledge about public service, local policy, and the importance of putting down roots in your community. Newberg has given me the opportunity to submit artwork to galleries, work on branding projects for businesses, and sell my work at local events. I look forward to the projects I tackle in the coming years.
I am always looking for new projects and creative opportunities, so feel free to contact me with your inquiries. I'd love to chat!
